Happy New Year Cupcateers!!  I hope you had a sweet holiday season!

I am so happy to have a blog again!  I started my first blog in 2006 when I lived in Aspen.  I was a bit rough and raw at first but quickly I fell in love with letting everyone and anyone know of what I was up too!!  Sharing all the “interesting” things that go on in that crazy town.  So much fun!!

I became very restless by the end of 2007.    I was still living in Aspen at the time.  I was ready to make my mark on the world again after resting quite nicely for 18 months and selling my Chiropractic office.  What would I do??  These 4 words ran through my head at nauseum.  I decided on a whim to trade my apartment in Aspen for a New York Apartment on the south end of Central Park for a WHOLE 30 DAYS!!  By Thanksgiving 2007, myself, my 15 year-old dog Koby and my cat Maggie were living in New York.  (both are waiting for me on Rainbow Bridge now .

CUPCAKES!!  All I remember is walking Koby to mid-town and seeing maybe 100 sq. ft. store named Crumbs with a line out-the-door.  My Entrepreneurial DNA went through the roof & part of heaven.   My daily rituals were to run central park with Koby 6  miles and stopping at 70th and Lexington for 6 cupcakes that I would photograph, adore, eat and dream of.     As most of you know I had to go through a breast cancer diagnosis before Big Fat Cupcake could make it’s mark.  It was a hero’s journey and one I am grateful for.

I am so proud of my Big Fat “Team Cupcake” and myself for all that we have accomplished in our 4-years.  2013 is our year and your’s too.  I will share all that I know about owning a Cupcakery and much more. I will let you know what were doing and what were about to do.  Let’s all learn together.
